The Souris River flows majestically through the municipality separating
it into two diverse geographical and agricultural zones.
West of the
river is the sandy, rolling topography that cattle ranches abound. The
Lauder Sandhills dominate much of that portion of the area and the
natural vegetation of dry land is evident.
