Elections for Council will take place October 26, 2022.

Elections will be held for Head of Council, Councillor for the Municipality of Grassland (6), as well as committee members of the L.U.D. of Elgin (3) and L.U.D. of Minto (3). 

Prospective municipal election candidates must register with the Senior Election Official (SEO) during the registration period before they may begin to accept contributions, incur expenses, fundraise or borrow money for their campaign. 

Registration for candidates takes place:

HEAD OF COUNCIL - between May 1st - September 20th

COUNCILLOR - between June 30th - September 20th

September 14 - Nomination period open
September 20 - Nominations close
October 12 - Advance Election (Minto Municipal Office, Hartney Centennial Centre)
October 26 - Municipal Election (Minto Community Hall, Elgin Community Hall, Hartney Centennial Centre)
